Zincalume® steel consists of an aluminium-zinc alloy coating (typically 55%% Al, 43.5%% Zn and 1.5%% Si) that provides superior corrosion resistance and long service life compared to conventional galvanized steel. Our tanks are suitable for a wide range of environmental conditions, subject to project-specific design requirements. ZINCALUME® WATER STORAGE TANKS MANUFACTURING PROCESS & TECHNOLOGY
The manufacturing and installation of Zincalume Water Storage Tanks involve a systematic process to ensure strong structure, safe storage, long service life, and leak-proof performance. Heritage Steel Storage Pvt. Ltd. follows advanced engineering practices and quality procedures at every stage, from sheet preparation to final installation at the client site.
CORRUGATION OF SHEETS
In the first stage, high-quality Zincalume steel sheets are processed through a corrugation machine at our manufacturing plant. The corrugation process enhances the structural stiffness and load-bearing capacity of the tank panels while improving resistance to hydrostatic pressure and load-bearing capacity of the tank panels while improving resistance to hydrostatic pressure. and stiffness to the steel panels, making the tank structure more durable and capable of handling water pressure and external load conditions. Corrugated sheets also help improve the overall stability of the tank.
CUTTING, PUNCHING, DRILLING & CURVING-
After corrugation, the steel sheets are cut into the required panel sizes as per tank design and storage capacity. The panels then undergo accurate hole drilling using advanced machines to ensure proper alignment during bolting at the site. After drilling, the sheets are curved through a curving machine to achieve the required circular shape for tank assembly. This process helps in smooth installation and proper fitting of each panel.
INSTALLATION PROCESS
After the material reaches the client site, the Zincalume tank installation is carried out by joining corrugated panels with high-quality nuts and bolts. The panels are assembled ring-wise from top to bottom to form a strong circular tank structure.
The liner membrane is then fixed inside the tank for safe and leak-proof liquid storage. All fasteners are tightened to the specified torque and sealed to ensure leak-proof performance and covered with silicone protective caps or PP caps to protect them from corrosion. This process ensures strong assembly, safe water storage, and long-lasting tank performance.
