PRE-FABRICATED ZINCALUME TANKS
Heritage Steel Storage Pvt. Ltd. manufactures high-quality pre-fabricated bolted Zincalume tanks that provide a durable and dependable solution for storing clear water across a wide range of applications. These tanks are fabricated using steel panels coated with a Zincalume alloy consisting of 55% aluminium, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon, offering exceptional corrosion resistance, strength, and long service life.
Designed to perform effectively under neutral environmental conditions, Zincalume tanks can withstand moderate temperatures and prolonged UV exposure. Their robust construction, low maintenance requirements, and cost-effectiveness make them an ideal choice for residential, commercial, industrial, and agricultural water storage applications.
Design Standards
Heritage Steel Storage Pvt. Ltd. designs and manufactures its Zincalume tanks in accordance with AWWA D103 & AS 2304, the Australian Standard for bolted steel circular water tanks.
AWWA D103 & AS 2304 specifies the requirements for the design and construction of bolted steel circular water tanks used for water storage. The standard also provides guidelines on water sources and water quality considerations that influence tank design and construction, along with recommendations for effective water conservation practices.
ZINCALUME TANKS – PROCESS & TECHNOLOGY
The manufacturing and installation of Heritage Steel Storage Pvt. Ltd.’s Zincalume tanks follow a systematic process to ensure superior quality, structural integrity, and long-term performance.
Corrugation of Steel Sheets
The Zincalume steel sheets are first passed through a corrugation machine to create a corrugated profile. This process enhances the strength and rigidity of the steel panels, enabling them to withstand higher loads and providing a durable tank structure.
Cutting, Drilling, and Curving
After corrugation, the steel sheets are cut into the required panel sizes. The panels are then precision-drilled using advanced CNC drilling machines to ensure accurate hole placement for seamless assembly. Finally, the panels are curved using specialized curving machines to achieve the desired circular profile of the tank.
Installation Process
Once the fabricated materials reach the project site, the installation process begins. The curved panels are assembled using high-quality nuts and bolts to form the tank structure. Installation is carried out in a ring-wise sequence from the top down, with the panels joined both horizontally and vertically to create a robust circular tank.
After the first ring is completed, the roof structure and all associated accessories are installed. A high-quality liner membrane is then securely fixed to the first ring and fastened according to the approved design specifications. To enhance corrosion resistance, all nuts and bolts are protected with silicone or polypropylene (PP) caps, preventing moisture ingress and extending the service life of the tank.
The stored liquid remains safely contained within the internal liner membrane, eliminating direct contact with the steel structure. Food-grade liner options compliant with NSF/ANSI 61 standards are also available for potable water storage applications.
