GLASS-FUSED-TO-STEEL (GFS) TANKS WITH SEALANT

Glass-Fused-to-Steel (GFS) Tanks with Sealant

are modular bolted storage tanks assembled using high-performance joint sealants to achieve leak-tight performance, excellent corrosion resistance and long service life. Designed and manufactured in accordance with applicable AWWA D103, ISO standards and project-specific engineering requirements, wherever applicable.

GLASS-FUSED-TO-STEEL (GFS) TANKS WITH SEALANT GFS Tanks with Sealant

GFS Tanks with Sealant are designed with glass-fused steel panels, where all panel joints are sealed using high-performance sealant along with nuts and bolts. The sealant creates a strong leak-proof joint between panels and protects the tank from leakage and corrosion at the connection points. These tanks are mainly suitable for water, wastewater, fire water, ETP, STP, WWTP, ZLD, RO water, raw water, and industrial liquid storage.

GFS Tanks with Internal Liner GFS Tanks with Internal Liner

are also made with glass-fused steel panels, but inside the tank a special protective liner membrane is fixed. The stored liquid remains inside the liner, so it does not directly come in contact with the tank shell. This liner provides extra protection against chemical reaction, corrosion, contamination, and leakage risk. These tanks are ideal for potable water, drinking water, soft water, DM water, clear water, RO water, and applications where hygiene and additional protection are required

GLASS-FUSED-TO-STEEL (GFS) TANKS WITH SEALANT MANUFACTURING PROCESS & TECHNOLOGY

DESIGN

Tank design is based on storage capacity, liquid properties, operating temperature, wind load, seismic load, foundation conditions and projectspecific requirements.

PANEL PREPARATION

Steel panels are precision cut, punched and drilled using CNC equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy and proper alignment during assembly

GLASS FUSION

Glass enamel coating is permanently fused to the steel surface at high temperature, producing a chemically inert and highly corrosion-resistant finish.

SEALANT SYSTEM

During installation, high-performance sealant is applied between panel joints and seams to provide leak-proof sealing and long-lasting protection against corrosion. The sealant grade shall be selected according to the stored media, chemical compatibility, and service conditions to the stored media, chemical compatibility and service conditions. Avoid implying that one sealant suits every application

ASSEMBLY

Panels are assembled ring-wise using quality nuts, bolts, washers, and sealant. The tank structure is built with proper alignment for strength and stability.

  • Bolt torque verification Sealant continuity inspection
  • Panel alignment
  • check Leak testing (where applicable)
  • Final inspection before commissioning

INSPECTION & TESTING

Each panel is checked for coating quality, thickness, surface finish, impact resistance, and hole alignment. Testing Includes: Spark Test, Coating Thickness Verification (where applicable), Visual Inspection, and Holiday Test (if applicable), Dimensional Inspection.

PACKING & DISPATCH

After final approval, panels and accessories are safely packed and dispatched to the project site for installation.
